Project Rubi - Hallway

The challenge: Hallways are often treated as simple transit zones but I see them as the introduction to the home. I wanted to move away from the typical white corridor and create a space that felt warm, enveloping and full of character from the moment you step inside.

The solution: I used a colour drenching technique, painting the walls and ceiling in French Gray by Farrow & Ball to create a soft seamless look. To elevate the space I designed a custom marble console that acts as a sculptural focal point at the entrance. I balanced this touch of luxury with a vintage shoe cabinet and brass lighting, creating a look that feels both collected and timeless.
