About me

I’m Marina Ramain, a French interior designer based in Berlin. 🇫🇷🇩🇪🇬🇧

Born and raised in France, I’ve always been drawn to the way colours and textures can change how a place feels. My mother still tells the story of me at four, mixing patterns in clothing shops and already trusting my instinct for what looked right.

Craftsmanship has always been part of my life. My grandmother used to crochet large bedspreads that were almost like art pieces, and my father spends his time working with wood and weaving baskets from willow. I grew up surrounded by handmade things, and that love for natural materials and honest craftsmanship has stayed with me ever since.

Before starting Atelier Ramain, my interior design studio in Berlin, I worked for more than ten years in international marketing with companies from Germany, the US, India and Norway. I was always drawn to the creative side, from designing exhibition stands and shaping brand identities to creating visual campaigns, TV set designs and other projects where aesthetics really mattered. I travelled a lot during those years and learned how important it is to come back to a place that feels like your anchor, a home that feels like you.

Interiors were my passion all along. I’ve always loved finding vintage pieces at flea markets, mixing them with natural textures and timeless materials. When I renovated my own Berlin Altbau apartment, I realised it was time to make this my everyday work.

After completing my interior design training in 2024, I launched Atelier Ramain in early 2025. Today I help my clients create homes that reflect who they are, using meaningful objects, natural materials and a mix of old and new.

For me, good design starts with listening. I take the time to understand your story and turn it into a space that feels warm, personal and truly yours.
