Project Rubi - Bedroom

The challenge: The room needed to serve two opposing functions. I had to integrate a working desk into this classic Altbau space without disrupting the feeling of rest or making the room look like a cluttered office.

The solution: I renovated the original oak parquet to bring back warmth and painted the walls in Shadow White by Farrow & Ball for a gentle backdrop. To blend the workspace in I selected a vintage teak desk and an old architect chair, styling the area with a gallery wall so it feels like a design feature rather than a workstation. Layered with olive green tones and natural materials the room remains a quiet retreat with a subtle French touch.
