The challenge: This vast, brand-new Berlin apartment was a completely clean, sterile canvas that severely lacked personality and warmth. The main difficulty lay in zoning and defining distinct characters for each expansive room without making the home feel disconnected, alongside the challenge of completely transforming three modern bathrooms without replacing the existing tiles.
The solution: I infused this massive new-build layout with a vibrant, eclectic soul. The experience begins right in the olive green entrance hall, designed to create an immediate sense of theater and intimacy. From there, I turned the endlessly long hallway into a dramatic burgundy art gallery using an immersive colour drenching technique. Each living area was carefully zoned, while the dedicated dressing room was reimagined with a Hollywood-diva aesthetic. Finally, the three neutral bathrooms were completely reimagined, including a bold, flashy pink twist, seamlessly blending old and new elements with playful spaceship design details to create a highly curated sanctuary.
